Just another...just another day

Well here I am once again loyal readers out there in blogger world. A Happy New Year to you all. Let's see what I can tell you today.

The wife and I had a marvelous vacation. I think it was the first time for both of us that we did not miss New York. Strange how the air is different in the places that we went. I was perfectly fine with little or no stuffiness and yet after the first night back in New York....I woke up with stuffiness. New York must be a little toxic. The first stop in our holiday journey brought us to Greenville, South Carolina. They do love their christian god there. A church on every corner. We met my cousin for the first time. A six month old named Eden. This may be very biased but she is quite adorable. WE spent some quality time with my Grandparents and various Aunts and Uncles. Funny thing is that I have an uncle (by marriage) who is 4 years younger than me. Strange to be sure, but he is a good fellow and an attentive father. We ate, drank, went to church, and a merry old time.
Our next stop brought us to Houston, Texas where we rang in the new year with the wife's family. It was loads of fun as I anxiously awaited my biochem grade so that I might update my med school applications. New Year's was pretty low key. We dined at a new restaurant that ended up being pretty good food. I enjoyed partaking in a superb pinot noir and a crisp chardonnay while supping on a delicious filet mignon. I won't bother you with the odd end to the evening as I was not present for the discussion of the bill which apparently turned into a little bit of a scene between a family friend and a waiter. Alas.
In other news, on the day of my biochem final I received an acceptance letter from NYCOM. I could very well be an osteopathic physician. I need to make a choice however about sending a large quantity of money to secure a position there in the next two weeks. I believe that I also have been rejected pre-interview from Cornell. My top choice and my biggest disappointment to date. I suppose I really didn't have the numbers to get in, and despite my better than average performance at my current school I cannot seem to shake my first couple of years of college which ended more than 10 years ago. May I suggest that regardless of what you want to do in the future make the most of any secondary education that you receive. Just try and do well wherever you are. From my experience so far, I can tell you that you will probably get bitten in the ass if you don't especially if you decide to change careers and go into medicine.

Well I have to go now. I have to spend the rest of the f**king day calling about music rights, because no one in my office wants to do this......jesus effing christmas.....this is not what I get paid for ya know.....this is not my job description anymore......ARGHHHH.

cheers to all and to all a good day.
